Atlanta Police Chief George Turner, Atlanta Police Foundation President Dave Wilkinson and other public safety leaders will come together Aug. 18 to discuss the “State of Public Safety” in Buckhead and Atlanta.

The forum will be held during the Buckhead Business Association’s Signature Luncheon. The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 at 103 West.

“This is a timely topic of discussion, particularly given recent events across the United States and the globe,” said David Coxon, president of Georgia Primary Bank and 2016 BBA president. “We live in uncertain times, and our public safety leaders are doing everything in their power to serve and protect the community. This forum will no doubt be informative and insightful and gives us an opportunity to hear directly from those charged with keeping the community safe.”

During the event, the BBA will also bestow its annual Public Safety Awards to members of the Atlanta Police Department (Zone 2), Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
