DLA Piper announced today that Steven Park has joined the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology practice as a partner in the Atlanta office.
Park focuses his practice on patent litigation and licensing, as well as counseling on patent portfolio management and enforcement of IP rights in the United States and abroad. He represents leading global technology companies and emerging businesses across a range of industries, including wireless communications, semiconductors and medical devices.
''With almost 20 years of experience representing clients in highly technical industries and a degree in electrical engineering, Steve is able to provide both legal and strategic business counsel to clients across the technology sector,'' said John Allcock, global co-chair and US chair of DLA Piper's Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) practice. Park's patent litigation experience includes resolving numerous matters before US district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the US International Trade Commission. In counseling clients on patent licensing issues, he has successfully negotiated several multi-billion-dollar deals between global corporations and drafted numerous cross-border licensing agreements.

Park joins DLA Piper from Paul Hastings LLP, where he was a partner and former office chair of the Atlanta Office. He has earned several accolades throughout his legal career from such organizations asChambers USA, Law360, Intellectual Asset Management, BTI Consulting Group, Legal 500, Acquisition International, and Atlanta Business Chronicle. Park received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia Law School and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with highest honor, from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
