The Meridian Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley was proud to host Carla Harris as its guest speaker on Tuesday, June 21 during an afternoon event at the firm’s Terminus Building in Buckhead. Harris, a fearless leader, passionate author and award-winning gospel singer, spoke to a captivated audience of women on the topic of her inspirational book, Expect to Win. 

Harris gave a lively and insightful talk chock full of salient advice for women of all ages. She provided insight on her experience, career and growth from entering the professional world to rising to be a successful woman in business. With close to three decades of experience on Wall Street, Harris shared a wealth of life and leadership experience with the audience which enjoyed her honesty, authenticity and relatability.

Harris, a Vice Chairman, Wealth Management, Managing Director, and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley, holds an MBA from Harvard University, and has received Honorary Doctorates from seven different colleges. She joined Morgan Stanley in 1987 following her graduation from Harvard Business School, and has gained the respect and admiration of business people nationwide. In August 2013, Harris was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the National Women’s Business Council.
