eVestment hired about 200 people in the past three years to support the company’s growth. And eVestment leaders knew the increasing war for talent required a more strategic approach to meet the big data company’s future recruiting and growth goals. They responded by naming long-time Atlanta-area talent leader Bryan Schreiber to the newly created position of Director of Talent Acquisition.

“Unemployment is extraordinarily low in the technology industry: there’s actually negative unemployment for some jobs,” said eVestment Head of Global Human Resources Nanci Lamborn. “To hire for the next phase of eVestment’s growth, we needed highly strategic approaches to finding and attracting top talent. Bryan brings an extraordinary amount of skill to this position and we’re delighted to have him join the team.”

Several Atlanta and global employment trends helped drive the need for and attracted Schreiber to the position, he said. They include:

·         Reduced churn among employees with advanced degrees and top skills in technology, sales and client service;

·         Increased difficulty in getting the attention of qualified candidates in a content- and opportunity-saturated environment;

·         The trend among Millennial employees to stay in positions longer; and

·         The lack among many candidates of “softer” skills and qualities such as communication, teamwork and humility.

“eVestment is committed to creating a great workplace, and that means hiring top people who also have these softer skills that are in shorter and shorter supply,” said Schreiber. “The challenge of helping eVestment grow and hire the kind of people that will build on the amazing workplace already here is very exciting to me.”

Schreiber brings more than 20 years of experience in technology talent acquisition and management to eVestment. Most recently he was the human Resources/Recruitment

Director for management consulting firm Alexander Proudfoot. Prior to that position, he was

Director of Talent Management with Jabian Consulting. He also has held recruitment and talent management leadership positions with Manhattan Associates, Equifax and Northside Hospital.

He will be building on a recruiting operation and workplace culture that has already garnered significant national and global attention. eVestment has ranked for nine consecutive years on the Inc. 500/5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the United States.

The company has also scored numerous local, national and international top-workplace notices. In the past few months eVestment was ranked among the top workplaces for technology employees and for recent college graduates in the United States by Fortune Magazine and Great Place to Work. Fortune and Great Place to Work also ranked eVestment the No. 15 mid-sized company to work for in the entire United States. Investors in People in the United Kingdom awarded eVestment a silver accreditation, marking eVestment as a top workplace in that country as well.

Immediate goals for the position will focus on enhancing eVestment’s employment brand and increasing the flow of top candidates for the many job openings eVestment has now and will have in the future. Schreiber will also lead eVestment’s ongoing employee retention efforts and work to implement new strategies and best practices in that arena.

“This month, we’re moving to our new headquarters in Atlanta’s Perimeter Center, which will give us capacity to hire 100 more people, with expansion options in the building that will accommodate 200 more,” said Lamborn. “That kind of growth would almost double our employee headcount. Sourcing, interviewing, bringing on board and retaining that number of top-notch people is a big challenge. I know Bryan and the team he’ll build out here are up for that challenge.”
