New facility to be completed in November 2016

KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment firms, has started construction on an 80,000-square-foot Center of Excellence for Comcast in Charleston County.

Comcast’s new facility is situated alongside Interstate 26 in the Ingleside Plantation development, a 2,000-acre, mixed-use project that will include retail, hotel, office and residential housing. Located at 3450 Ingleside Blvd., the new building will house the company’s customer service and technical support teams. Comcast’s new $21.4 million office building will initially house 550 employees, with room to expand to 650 employees.

The new Comcast facility has been designed with today’s workforce in mind. Employees will have access to walking trails and a planned greenway, while being conveniently located with easy access to all areas of Charleston. On-site amenities include a cafeteria with an outdoor dining patio and a fitness facility.

BB+M Architecture is the project architect, Cypress Engineering is the civil engineer, and Edwards Construction Services is the general contractor. Construction on the building is expected to be completed by Nov. 2016.
